Text description provided by the architects. Located in one of the first duplex blocks of Brasília's superquadras, this 294-square-meter (approx. 3,165-square-foot) apartment underwent a renovation that completely transformed its layout and atmosphere. The design sought to celebrate the building's essence by leaving the concrete beams and columns exposed, highlighting the structural materiality. At the same time, it integrated spaces to provide a fluid living experience tailored to contemporary daily life. While the original structure of the staircase was preserved, it received a new metal handrail and guardrail, turning it into a central element that defines the project's identity. The overlapping of the metal meshes that form the staircase guardrail creates a moiré effect, which gives the project its name.
