Text description provided by the architects. OnLand is a retail space centered around folk crafts and everyday objects. In this Shanghai project, we continue a spatial approach first explored in Hangzhou—starting from the idea of a workshop rather than a shop window. Instead of focusing on how things are displayed, we paid more attention to how objects are used, touched, and moved around.
