Text description provided by the architects. Can the sun turn a house inside out? The "rabo de bacalhau" (codtail) buildings are a highly characteristic typology of Lisbon's urban expansion in the second half of the 20th century. Structurally, they are organized with thin reinforced concrete slabs supported by solid masonry partition walls, forming a grid that contributes to the stability of the overall building. Located within a building of this type, the apartment was in a reasonable state of preservation.
