Archstorming is launching a new competition that will look for designs for the future schools of the NGO Abay Ethiopia, an organization founded in Spain in 2009 that operates in Walmara, Ethiopia, with the aim of fighting against poverty and promoting equal opportunities, mainly through the development of Education, Health and Community support projects in general.

INTRODUCTION
History of Architecture is a 2021 Presentation and Writing Competition, organized by Archiol. Architecture evolved over the centuries, with the rise and fall of civilizations. Architecture is the essence of the history of Human Civilization. The competition, History of Architecture is looking for a presentation board and essay submissions on any of the periods from the history of architecture.

We want students to explore what architecture truly means and what it can achieve without any constraints. This competition encourages students to create unconventional and exceptional designs. The aim is to let your imagination run wild and design a breathtaking Visitors Center.

’ORTE Architekturnetzwerk Niederösterreich’ annually grants a studio apartment in Krems as well as a scholarship financed by the Federal Province of Lower Austria to three artists focusing their work on building culture. The duration of stay is selectively one to three months.

For the 28th annual Tile Competition, Ceramics of Italy is currently accepting submissions from top North American architects and designers who have used Italian ceramic and porcelain tile to create unique installations in built projects around the world. An international jury of design experts will review submissions from all over the continent and select winners in five categories: Commercial, Institutional, Residential (Multi-Family), Residential (Single-Family), and Student. Projects must have been completed between January 2016 and March 2021 and feature tile from one or more Ceramics of Italy manufacturers.

The City of Culver City will implement a permanent Public Art Program for the Washington/National TOD (Transit Oriented Development) District. The Washington National TOD Gateway Public Art Program will inspire artists in the creation of world-class, aesthetically rigorous artwork(s) that respond to the natural, cultural, and infrastructural resources present at the site. Formerly the site of the Hal Roach Studios, the Washington National TOD gateway has continued to be a site of artistic and entrepreneurial activity. This Public Art Program will offer artists the opportunity to aesthetically respond to the past, present, and future of this unique cultural site.

Introduction:
Architecture is more than just a building; it is capable of serving deeper functions. We are surrounded by Architecture around us, we walk through it, we live in it, and we are a part of it. It should not be ocular centric and should focus on a complete sensorial experience. A connection between space and human being in rooted in architecture. Architecture influences our behavior and also our senses. The competition, ‘Sensory Architecture’ is looking for essay submissions on the positive impact that architecture has on our senses.

The goal of the competition is to obtain ideas for a representative center of the Slovak University of Technology (STU) in Bratislava. It should include the STU innovative science center, educational, social, multi-purpose, and leisure spaces such as interiors, exteriors, and part of the rector's workplaces.

There is a growing modern trend of people abandoning their lives in large cities and opting instead to live in smaller communities. These intentional communities are an evolution of the utopian colonies and communes of the past, where individuals shared resources and responsibilities in equal measure. In the US alone the number of intentional communities has nearly doubled in recent years, with 1,200 communities registered in 2016.

In this competition, we ask participants to design a cycling bridge in the context of Amsterdam, an effective connection over the river Ij for pedestrians and cyclists – 1 design expressed in 3 drawings.

The “72h Axo Battle” is a design competition developed to explore the creative potential of architectural design through one of the most iconic architectural drawings: the axonometric projection. You have 72 hours to develop a proposal that responds to the program contained in the extended contest brief, which will only be available when the battle starts. This Axo battle is titled “….. Water Parks”. The title is only a preview of the complete theme of the competition. More will be explained in the extended brief that will be available on 19th February 2021.
